I got a job on Kelly/Port SA - working for the Enterprise Service Desk that will soon be the help desk AF wide. It's a good gig, mostly telephone support.

Maybe now I can afford that handgun upgrade!

There is another SAXET show going on at the above location this weekend (14-15 Feb). We went this morning after breakfast at the IHOP (), and it was a madhouse! There was a line to get in, and so crowded that it was hard to get to any of the tables to see anything. And on top of it all, prices have increased significantly!

What I find particularly odd is that for the past few months these shows have been "slim pickings" in the sense that there weren't a lot of guns or ammo for sale. Not it seems that levels of stock have increase as have the prices. To be honest I am suspicious of "gouging" by dealers, keeping things out of the public eye until the new administration came in, then playing on the hysteria that they are going to take everyone's guns away (not gonna happen). I know there is a good chance of stricter Federal gun laws down the road, but there is no justification for the prices we are seeing lately. I am just happy that I was smart/lucky enough to make all my purchases long enough ago to avoid all this craziness!

Cheers! M2

I think a lot of people are buying them for home protection too. There's been a lot of stupid crime lately and a lot of people have been defending their castles and the law has been on their side. Hopefully this increased business will lead to a decrease in the bad people

I agree RD, I hope more innocent citizens are protecting themselves from these home invasions.

Hello,

I always understood them to be EVERY month on the first weekend:

2009
Jan 3-4 Mar 28-29
Apr 25-26 May 30-31
July 11-12 Aug 1-2
Sept 5-6 Oct 3-4
Nov 14-15 Dec 5-6

This is the schedule off of the SAXET website. All of these shows are at the Freeman Coliseum.

Bought a KelTec .380 and an AK-47 at the SAXETright after Obama got elected. I felt the prices were very fair.

Obama and Biden were strict gun control advocates and are going to continue to try and pass legislation limiting the rights to own guns like the ones I bought in November (I live on a ranch and shoot a lot, got a rifle, pistol, and a shotgun range.) Already read about the Dems. attempt to have all guns registered (first step in taking them away)
Be afraid, be very afraid.

"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government"

Didn't everyone love the video of the man who was going to get robbed and he shot at them and they all ran like little girls. It was on the news about 2 days ago. Dont know where this happened but it proves that everyone is better off with a gun in their hand when it comes to home invasions.
