Default Anime Monday at Alamo Drafthouse Westlakes

Does anyone partake? The website doesn't show what they're playing today, and I forget from last week. I think it might be an Evangelion show or movie. Alamo Drafthouse :: Westlakes

lol I only know the person I go with. Yep, it was Evangelion Seems to be a mix of different aged adults from late teen to 40's though. I felt so bad for this one group, sitting in the row in front of us. Apparently they don't know that the majority of the anime viewers are there to give the show a nice MST3K-ing, and if you don't know what that is.. I'm sorry. lol Basically, they heckle rowdy style. It's fun, it's loud, it's social. But this poor dude seriously wanted to watch the movie and was like yelling at the big group who makes the most noise, at the beginning. I wrote him a note explaining how it works and the staff won't tell them to stop, and that hey, at least it was free to get in. :P Usually with series it's crazier. The movie was heckled, everyone was calling it Emo-gelion, since Shinji is a little cry baby, and a good time was had by all, except the group of 4 in front of me who wanted to watch the movie in peace.

Was it new? I don't know, I was never into Evangelion, so I just watched and enjoyed (heckling and all). And I pouted when they did the giveaway and I didn't win the Shakugan no Shana.

Next week is Bamboo Blade. Will probably be a fun heckling time.
