We're coming up way short on funds this month, and need to raise some cash quickly.

What things have sold recently for you on craigslist, and for how much?

We're also having a big yard sale this coming weekend, but I don't think it will be enough to cover our shortfall from me being out of work thanks to my PC dying {can't work as well from laptop}. But there will be some great deals on toddler girls items and toys for anyone interested.

The one thing I know I can always sell on CL is toddler clothes and toys. As long as your things are in nice condition, your willing to price for less than what you bought things for, you should be good. I am actually going to meet someone I just sold a toy to. Good luck this weekend. As far as prices it just depends on what you are selling. I think I must sell my stuff to cheap because it always goes fast!

I'm sorry to hear about your hard times. Lots of that going on. I wouldn't try to think this out too much. Have a garage sale and advertise on CL and put out EVERYTHING you want to get rid of. It's free and you will have a great turn out. I found that out by accident. I needed space and sold everything I had for sale! Unbelievable. Price things to sell....and try not to get emotional about selling things. (I tend to get sentimental ...so I have to give myself a pep talk!) It's just stuff, and life is more important right now. You're doing the right thing! Good luck!

BTW - you're allowed four pictures on CL. Group a bunch of items and take four good pictures. Pictures will bring more people in!

Agreed, I always put pics in my CL ads and have never had a problem selling anything. Competitive pricing helps as well, but it seems like pictures sell the item! I know when I troll on CL, I am more apt to be interested in something if there is a picture of it in the ad. About the only gripe I have with CL is that they don't allow firearms.

Best of luck with everything!

Almost every picnic table I go after is already sold by the time I email the seller.

I am waiting to hear back from one now...we need it for a party this weekend.

So I guess outdoor furniture usually goes quick...
