ok robert i own 4 units in san antonio so i know about taxes. I also live in L.A. Take any property here and multiply it by 4x minimum and you get the price you would pay in L.A. If you compare a bad area in San Antonio to bad in L.A. then we are talking about multiplying it by 6-8X easy. Yes your taxes are double, but a shack in a gangster ridden neighborhood is 500-600k!

Come on now, give me a break! No house in south central is going to sell for $500-600k! Let's throw in Riverside and San Bernardino counties while we're at it and see what the shacks go for in those areas.

The report column heading says metro area -
Austin-Round Rock
Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington
Houston-Baytown-Sugar Land
San Antonio

So I'm assuming the incorporated cities in SA you mentioned are included, same goes with Houston, Dallas, and Austin.

I agree with you totally on the ugliness of the concrete bases....houses are built up so high - well, there goes the view. Ah, the irony.
