When we lived in La Vernia we had outdoor cats and never had a problem with them surviving. We lived on a ranch that was 1500 acres plus so they had room to go. That said I would never let a cat out to roam in the city with streets and city workers with nets snatching them up.

One time I even saw 2 jackrabbits "gettin' jiggy wid it" out on the farm.

But if coyotes are around, and if they are hungry, they will catch and kill cats. Even in Gold Canyon.
