I have a craving for some rice and beans maybe even cajun style/dirty with some sausage.

I cant think of a good place to get some. Anyone have any suggestions for some good rice and beans?

I had to laugh at that post...cuz that's what we eat when we're really broke because it's so cheap to make, so the idea of getting it at a restaurant is funny

This made me laugh too. We used to say "rice and beans" when I worked at discount tire meaning the car was in for a rotation and balance.

Ma Harper's Creole Kitchen!!!!!! Urbanspoon users rated her at 95%. I've had her gumbo many times because she competes in the Medina Lake Cajun Festival every year (and win's almost every year). I love Acadiana as well but nobody cooks like Ma!!!

Agreed. Rice and beans usually means money is tight or I'm just way too lazy to cook that night. It's cheap to make and delicious too!

I like to get the bbq sausage plate at Bill Miller's. With beans as one of the sides. I think they also have rice, but I've never gotten it. But their beans and sausage is a good combination. The sausage is from a link, cut into smaller pieces.

Even better are their sausage/bean breakfast tacos. I feel lucky anytime I am able to make it to their breakfast hours. Not all of their locations serve breakfast, though.
