New Years Eve question (Alamo: hotels, house, club)

Hello all,

I want to do something different this year besides being in a club or somebody's house for New Years Eve. Has anyone ever done anything with any of the hotels downtown such as a party/room combo package? If so, what are some of the better hotel parties downtown? Thank you for your help!

The biggest party downtown is at the Alamo. I don;t know the details of this years celebration except it is outside at Alamo Plaza and or Hemisphere Plaza. Maybe just get a room downtown and go to the streets to party.
