Omigosh MMM you always get your chones in a knot when we talk about burgers! I know they hold a special place in your heart and arteries, but try not to take it personally when someone doesnt like the same grease trap as you.

I try not to take anything on here personally even when people always talk about how crappy, dirty, ghetto, trashy the SS is....and thats where I live unlike a burger which is just something you eat and crap out later.

Now go have another burger and fries and call it a nite.

We can all get along by having dinner at Smashburger.

Wife tells me the Smashburger at 1604/Bandera (Bandera Pointe) is closed. It's still showing up on their website (http://www.smashburger.com/location/san%20antonio/BanderaPoint - broken link), but there's no answer when I called. Bummer.

Any of their other locations closed? Richland Hills (Potranco and 151) is still open, I wonder if that was the only one that closed?

Cheers! M2

Went to the one on Bandera and I'll never be going back. I was ignored by the staff at the door when entering at 8pm (two of them were chatting together at the doorway), then the guy at the counter walked off as he saw me walking up to order.. THEN one of the workers came out with a vacuum cleaner and starting vacuuming. At 8pm. I ended up walking out, going to IHOP and having an amazing burger there instead (the Monster Bacon Burger, omg soooooooo good).

Yeah, but Smashburger was one of the few places around here that would put a fried egg on your burger, something I got hooked on while living in the UK.

Plus, their burgers were a lot less greasy than Five Guys.

It's too bad that you got lousy service there as the food was pretty good, but it might explain why it's no longer open.

Cheers! M2

Cheesy Jane's across the street (sort of) closed up too. Not a good day for burger choices nearby but no doubt that more will crop up.

Well, I never cared for Cheesy Jane's food. The Smashburgers were good, however! Sorry to hear it's gone!
