I did hear an interesting bit of info the other day while shopping at the newest TJ's location off Olympic Blvd in West LA. I asked one of the company big-wigs that was walking around if TJ's had plans to enter Florida and especially Texas since those seem to be about the two largest states they haven't expanded into. His response was that they definitely were going to open stores there because their expansion plans call for stores in most every part of the US. He also told me that some of the 'foot dragging' heading into Florida and Texas was because they plan quite a few stores in each of those states and they want to make sure they get it right. Now that was his opinion but I don't doubt they're coming.
And though most of the posts on here are over a year old, you CANNOT get the same things at Whole Foods or HEB like you can at TJ's. Most of the time, I have to head over to TJ's for certain items AFTER I leave Whole Foods or Von's/Ralph's...I've even got my mother hooked on certain items that I have to bring her when down in SA for visits! It's truly a great and unique store with lots of hidden gems.

So, you're now living in Beverly Hills! What did you do, strike oil while out huntin'?

I wish...
It's really not a big deal...I'm in a 2 bedroom APT (!!!) right now in the flats area of Beverly Hills just south of Wilshire Blvd. Nice area, fairly quiet, and centrally located for me! Of course the monthly rent is a bit more than what my mortgage was for my last house in Texas!!
