I think somewhere in this thread or another...November is when the one across the highway closes. Its amazing how much work they have done in a short amount of time.

I drove by there today and noticed more progress. It looked like the HEB building is really taking shape. I didn't notice whether work on the other buildings was underway.

This is going to be a huge shopping center. The 281 Highway project and Evans over pass need to get started ASAP. Getting into and out of this shopping center to head east on Evans will be a pain.

I wonder if that will be close to first for the toll road plan? It is pretty close to 1604.

BJ's is great! The menu is a book, sort of like Cheesecake Factory. THe pizza is awesome, but I recommend eating it there vs. take out. This is not near me, but I'll be driving to get there!

HEB 281/Evans GREENEST yet!
Exciting news for SA!
Some of us share the need to protect the environment.
I hear some of us don't, but that just makes the world go round.
I just returned from a contractor's meeting with HEB at the upcoming 281 Center. It has built in recycling, green lighting, windtricity and more!

Another big asphalt footprint right on top of the recharge zone that will feed the desire for more development. Doesn't sound very green to me.

Consider the alternative: Another big asphalt footprint right on top of the recharge zone with no green initiatives in place.
Development and growth will occur and its a healthy sign for our community. At least the proper mindset is beginning to take hold that "green" can equal profitable business. Hurray for H.E.B.!
