The seller/son is FIRM though. The original owner was just put into a rest home, the place is a complete wreck though, but restorable..and WAY COOL, I was SERIOUSLY thinking about selling my house and buying it, but ultimately didn't want a complete renovation/seeling in a buyer's market headache. DM if you wan't to find out more, I do NOT own it, but know who does and can give you direct info, and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE for someone who digs Ford to buy it and fix it up!
NOW the guy want's 275K!!! It was built for very well known-in-SA lawyer Forrest Welmaker, and is now owned (inherited, naturally) by Forrest Welmaker, Jr., who apparently just wants it to sit and rot away?!?! So give 'em a call if ya wanna deal with a real PIA (lingo I picked up from my realtor). Damn, that place is cool...and again, I STRESS, I am NOT a realtor, just giving a heads up to MCM and O'Neil Ford fans.

Hi,

I just joined, because I found this thread through a Google search. I’m trying to find the architect who built my home, and I’m wondering if it could possible have been one of the one’s y’all’ve mentioned. It’s in East Terrell Hills (yuck, I know), and I always thought it was hideous, until I took the tacky plastic lattice gate/fence down, which my grandmother had somebody install years ago. It’s her house, but I live here as well. It’s different than all the other houses in the neighbourhood, and I’ve always just thought it was uglier. Now, I can see clearly that it is a minimalist house, with much potential. It has somewhat of an Eichler look to it, without the large windows. I’ve been working slowly on fixing it up, and would really like to restore it. I don’t have pictures yet, but when I do, I’ll post them.

Just wanted to introduce myself, and the house I’m working on restoring (kinda). I’m also trying to figure out where to get a copy of the original blueprint, as well as the name of the architect (which I would assume would be on the blueprint), and if possible, a picture of the original paint colour. I’ve got some numbers I’m going to try, but if anybody has any suggestions, I’d love to hear them. It was built in ’63. I’ll add more to this later. I’ve got to get to work.
