Thumbs up Lulu's

Oh yeah!!! Lulu's is awesome!! A kid's chicken strip meal is so huge that an adult will get full from it, chicken fried steak is the size of a large plate, fried fish is delish, breakfasts are great, cinnamon rolls are huge, burgers are fabulous, service always with a smile. GREAT for late night dining! On the side of the building it says, "never trust a skinny cook", and the portions reflect that!! LOL!

My wife and I flew into SA late last night. Car rental employee recommended Chacho's as well. Food was great, place was packed past midnight, prices were unbelievably cheap, and they serve huge portions.

Darn shame that Chacho's new location on Perrin-Beitel has become a haven for 'the bad guys'. There's been quite a bit of violence & other incidents there.

I second that emotion. They are so good. I am so surprised that we don't have something like that down here.

2 Thumbs up for Lulu's jailhouse cafe and bakery, one of my first stops when I moved to SA. Dont let the decor put you off. If you like chicken fried steak or pretty much any greasy spoon type foods ( I mean that in the most sincere way) Lulu's has em. Lulu's also has free WiFi if you have a late night web obsession as well. I've been there days and nights atmosphere is fair for the type of place it is, But Im there for the food
Chachos on Callaghan and I-10 is great too, the margeritas and nachos go down well. It is crowded however on weekends well past bar closing times, be prepared.

I dig Las Salsa's for late night Mex food inside the loop. The Tink-a-Tako on Fredericksburg rd. was also a nice taqueria option, but lately their hours have been inconsistent. I hear people talk about Mama Margie's or is it Taco Tote too for 24 HR. option. They worth it?

Home Page - Copa Wine Bar, San Antonio is open until midnight most weekdays and 2 on the weekends.

Blue Star Brewery: Home and Liberty Bar, San Antonio, TX are open until 10/10:30 on weeknights, 12 on weekends.

bennigans and Boston's The Gourmet Pizza - Restaurant Pages - San Antonio are open until 2, but they are chains, of course.

b1604.com and maximumnightlife.com/San-Antonio probably have additional info.
