I'm a SAHM looking for part-time pre-school/day care (two to three half-days per week) for my boys, two and (just shy of) four. I've called around and researched online for two weeks and can't find anything with the hours I want (about 8/wk) or a price that's reasonable-- everything I've found has been $80-120/wk+, three full days+, and nothing for my two-year-old. I'm looking for socialization for both & pre-school skills for the elder. Anyone know of a reasonably priced program in the Schertz/Cibolo/Universal City area? Thanks!

My son used to attend Christ the King Lutheran Daycare a couple of years ago. They have a really good program and the teachers were very caring. I am unsure how much I paid per week, but I do remember it being more affordable than other daycares in the area. I believe they start taking children at 2 years, lunch is not provided but breakfast is at no addtl cost. At least that was the policy in 2007, so things may have changed. Good luck in your search!

Check with the local United Methodist Church in the area. Kid's Day Out (http://www.schertzunitedmethodist.com/templates/System/details.asp?id=28198&PID=456129 - broken link) I don't know anything about this particular one, but both of my kids attended pre-school years ago at the Windcrest UMC. I couldn't have asked for a better program.
