There are some fairly nice apartments on Henderson Pass and also north of 1604 on 281.

Stone Oak is obviously a joke, but Oakwell Farms is just a bit to the northeast of Alamo Heights on Harry Wurzbach just inside 410. You get the convenience of the AH area, but without the additional mark up of being in the 78209 zipcode, which is the other side of Harry Wurzbach.

I also agree Stone Oak and 1604. Toscano@Sonterra, Claremore, to name a few. You also have plenty of restaurants, bars, and shopping right there.
