Default Has anyone noticed that SAPD officers are rude?

I remember a bunch of people were playing in the water at that park on San Pedro road. The SAPD came there in batallion strength, cussed everyone out including little kids in english, german, and spanish, then ran them off. They threatend one child the cops told him they would break his legs and arms if they saw him again. That seems a little bit excessive. I got stopped on Nachodeges rd I was coming out of golds gym. The 2 cops that stopped me said they don't like people that are bigger and stronger than the police and they would love to make an example out of me. That sounds like a threat.

IF that's true, report them to IA. It'll accomplish more than posting on a random message board. Have a feeling there's a bit more to that story though.

I've never had a problem with the police in SA. Have gotten a few tickets over the years and they've never been anything less than professional.

Most of them are professional but some of them do things that are uncalled for like cussing out little kids and threating to break their arms and legs.

San Antonio probably isn't the friendliest place I've lived overall but having lived in six states I give San Antonio PD the nod for friendliest cops. It's the only place I've lived where you can say hello to a cop and he smiles and says hello back to you. Anywhere else you just get a grunt and a scowl if you try to be friendly with a cop.

The SAPD downtown are very friendly: I've had some great conversations with the bike patrol guys and they're always smiley, intelligent and easy to deal with.

SAPD in the burbs: Wholly different. Much more 'just business' oriented.

While I'm not a fan of how the SAPD treats some groups in town, I do think they're attempting to clean up their act. All people can do is report bad behavior.

Yeah I've had questionable experiences with them.

That's what I was thinking. Especially the "IF" part.

No issues from SAPD...now those (the few I've encountered) Castle Hills PD Officers have poor communication skills, they are rude and speak in a very condescending tone.

some of them really do this? Why are you coming here? Call internal affairs and report this immediately IF it really did happen. I cannot even imagine ONE bad apple doing something this bizarre, let alone "some" of them.
