I like San Antonio Magazine a lot. It always has good articles, and has a great community calendar of events, etc.
I don't like Scene in SA for the most part. Sometimes they have some good special issues (their medical issue is always good) but for the most part they spend too much of their print space ragging on the Express-News.
The Current is also a great publication.

Ditto for the most part. Scene in SA needs to grow up! There is very little substance to it other than a few badly written "scene" reports. Their "social" reporter is darling, but needs to be a bit more seasoned. Some of the "events" they report about are so NOT newsworthy. Does the majority of SA care that Tootsie Marie "Bunny" Coopersmith-O'Shaunnessey's friends gave her a 50-ith birthday and all wore yellow hats?
And the history corner.....as an avid AMATEUR historian I could write more fun and interesting local history.
And I totally agree with all the EN ragging??? What is UP with that? I think the Scene in SA is not much more than a splinter in Bob Rivard's big toe!
San Antonio Magazine is pretty and glossy....and does seem to appeal to a broader audience.
None of them really ring my bell!

No. There is a magazine called "San Antonio Magazine." The most recent issue is the "newcomers edition" and features profiles on the new City Manager, Chief of Police, and CVB director.

C San Antonio Magazine, NSide, Amuze, and CityPages are nothing more than fluff pieces for their advertisers, in my opinion.
San Antonio Woman is also a decent magazine and often has great articles for women.

Their is always the San Antonio business Journal that is a weekly. I enjoy the North San Antonio times, that focuses on Olmos Park, Terrell Hill and AH and the immediate surrounding area.

I like San Antonio Woman and San Antonio Magazine. I just picked up the Newcomers edition, and it was filled with awesome info on our town.
