Austin beats SA? Wow! I thought for sure SA would easily take top "honors" in this one. It's without a doubt the drunkest city I've ever lived in and the only place I've almost been killed by a drunk driver.

These results were based on the findings from this survey:

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System Survey, 2004

BRFSS - 2004 Survey Data

I wonder where SA would fall if they used the most current survey data for 2008.

Austin has a nice seasonal population of 50,000 continually intoxicated residents.....or maybe it was just me.

oh yeah, forgot about those peeps.. good catch. They tend to mostly walk, though, so they're much less dangerous.

Apparently you haven't been on 35 southbound between here and there on any given Saturday night past 11 or so. There's usually a steady stream of young people trying their damndest to walk the line and say their ABC's without singing it starting at F.

any such list that doesn't have New Orleans at the top is 100% BS.

Being that the first time I was hit by a drunk driver was in the city of San Antonio...I would say people here get pretty sloppy. 10 pm and they are already throwing up

Dirt cheap drinks, dirty people, lame nightlife, boring as hell...All you wanna do is drink. My liquor budget has sky-rocketed since I've been here.

Im trying to hurry up and get the **** back OUT cause its rubbing off on me!

Surprise....another weekend drunk-driving fatality. A 23 year old woman decides it would be funny cute to get all liquored up and then can't seem to make it down the proper side of the street, hits a car head on and kills a 53 year old mother and injures 3 passengers. What a hoot!
