Hello,
My family (my mom, my sisters, and children ages 2-7 planed to move to san Antonio, Texas however, we are on a fixed income and me and my sisters are in college. We have two guard dogs and are not willing to give them up. We were wanting some input as to which parts of san Antonio are bad and which aren’t as well as which parts have a Hispanic cultural aspect or is that just part of the city all together. Any input would be great.

Welcome to San Antonio ahead of time. You'll have a hard time finding a place for one "guard dog" much less "two". I've been told the West side is "bad". You can find the Hispanic cultural aspect just about anywhere in San Antonio but check out the South side..you might find something reasonable and get the dogs in also.

I am sure you can find some affordable housing on the NWside of town...send me a direct message on what your are looking to pay and I can give your more detailed information...

Do you know what college you will be attending? That would play a major factor as well...

Hi - I answered on your L.A. post as well.
I looked extensively into moving from L.A. to San Antonio and I just couldn't do it.
L.A. has sooo much to choose from and will always have the cultural events you want.
San Antonio does as well but from a more touristy point of view. There are more tensions I think here as well because it's pretty much half and half.
It's also much more rural and ALOT smaller than L.A. I visited and was a little shocked at how small and spread out it felt - and I'm from the suburbs of Houston. I had high HIGH hopes for San Antonio but was a little let down.
The thing I noticed when looking at neighborhoods is that they were either Hispanic but very low-income and run down, or either mostly white or half/half mixed but very suburban and bland and FAR from the city center and you wouldn't feel that culture at all. I ultimately gave up and ended up being able to purchase in L.A. anyway and I am sooo glad.
