"Home Alone Pets" is great if you want to keep them at home and they are in your backyard.

We boarded ours at Rob Cary once and never went back. We have two dogs and when we picked them up, they acted as if they had not gone to the bathroom in days. One of them also had a blood filled eye. The vet stated it looked as if he had been choked ( I figured it was maybe that he got caught on something since he was wearing a collar and really was choking) but Rob Cary stated that my 2 dogs were fighting with each other all weekend long and the other one may have scratched the other's eye. There were no scratch marks. I'm sure this is an isolated incident but I did not like the way they handled the situation.

Another vote here for the Palms Pet Resort in Helotes. Our dog loves staying there--but we also add the playcare on to his boarding so he gets to spend a couple days playing with other dogs in the yard for a few hours.

Ask your vet if they board. I board my animals at my vet (In Colleyville ..not your area) I feel safer boarding at the vet because i feel like they will take better care of them than a boarding facility would. I pay $18 a day per animal.

Thumbs up Pet Paradise on Oblate Street behind North Star Mall

I highly recommend Pet Paradise. We left our 4 dogs there for 11 days and visited often. The 2 owners are on site. The dogs are cage free all day in AIR CONDITIONING! Small dogs are seperated from the large dogs. They have pet furniture. The 2 guys are very loving towards the animals. The place isn't brand new, but the people running it do a great job of keeping it clean. My dogs are my babies. I must have visited 10 kennels before deciding on this one. I would never go anyplace else. Medium priced.
