Bought some BEAUTIFUL palms at Costco today...they have HUGE ones in
15 gal buckets for $39.95 each. I am talking FULL, BEAUTIFUL plants. The tallest grouping we got was almost 8 ft tall.

Any, now that I have let you all in on the great sale (and I bet they will be GONE by the weekend so if you are at all interested I suggest getting down their quickly), does anyone know where to get LARGE terra cotta planters at the best price???

We want to keep them potted to be able to protect them in the winter during freezes.

Appreciate any and all recommendation/suggestions.

I usually buy pots at Garden Ridge when they go on sale. I have been making my "To Do" list for spring but haven't come across any deals on pots yet. I'll update if I find any.

Btw, I was at Costco this weekend and saw the gorgeous Palms! I need to make a decision to buy...and pretty quick because they will be gone soon!

Oh wanted to add that you may want to post on GardenWeb-Texas forum...they are a great resource for local gardening and announcing SALES!

Oh my! That's the one place I was trying to think of! They'll have to have them.

I googled it and couldn't find it. My dad goes there all the time. It's seriously the only time I go beyond 1604 and Bandera...to go there (traffic? just kidding!)

Yep, they have 'em. Don't go there between 4:30 and 6:30 pm or you'll never get in/outta the place. I call that area the Bottleneck, for obvious reasons.

You could make 'em yourself. All you would need is a big ol' kiln, a giant ball o' clay, and a potters wheel....

Thank you ALL so much for the great ideas...got some BEAUTIFUL pots at Garden Ridge, and while very expensive ($100 ea), they are PERFECT. The crew that repotted and planted the others for me just left...and I am VERY pleased. Guess it is ok to splurge on the pots since the plants were a steal (anytime you get 7 ft tall palms for $39.95 you stoled them!) and theys sure did the trick for finishing out our deck, backyard area.

Thanks again!
