I haven't tried Kennedy's, even though it is right down the street. I will give it a shot.

I ate at Grimaldis a few weeks ago, DELICIOUS!!! And nothing beats washing down that yummy pizza with an ice cold Peroni on draft

Previous poster is right.

Peroni's hands down is one of the better beers out there

We tried Dough yesterday at lunch. The buffalo mozzarella on a plate with sundried tomatoes, roasted garlic and pesto sauce which you then spread on their bread...outstanding. Their margherita pizza...eh...not so much. Several places in town have much better pizza, IMO. I think what attracts people to Dough is that it's new and, I don't know, "chic"? It's like a place you'd find in certain frou-frou parts of Manhattan. I won't go back for the pizza, that's for sure.

Seriously? What places has better pizza, in your opinion?

What attracts me to Dough is that it's as good a pizza as you'll find in Texas. It's certainly not because it's 'chic'; it's in a crappy strip mall.

beat me to it.

Dough has DAMN good pizza. Their crust and char are superb. Ingredients are as good as anyone's in this state.

By "chic", I meant the way it's decorated inside, not it's location. As far as the pizza, it was:

1. Small for the price.
2. Sauce was not very flavorful.
3. Crust was soft and mushy under the cheese and the bottom was not crisp and charred as I was expecting.

Sorrento, Grimaldi's, and Florio's are all much better, IMO.

But maybe I'll give Dough another shot and tell them I want the pizza crispy.

sounds like an off experience. they are usually charred and crispy. I had a similar experience tonight in nyc with a Neapolitan joint in the village. it unfortunately happens at the best of places.

It's not a crappy strip mall. I would try to explain but...never mind. I'll go watch some Youtube instead.
