when I worked at Chilis back in 85 ZigZags was the place to go for many people that worked there. X was legal back then as well and sold over the counter in many places. The Bone Club was another popular place with the looks like death crowd and there was a gay bar that had .10 cent beer nights once a week that would pack them in.

I was barely 16 back then so getting into ZigZags was out....it was MUCH easier to get into clubs up in Austin with my brothers friends including one time at a place called Hydes when the guy ask why my eyes were not the same color as the license of my brothers friend that looked NOTHING like me who's ID I was using and I gave him the ole' "they changed colors".....he went for it and acted like he was the dumb one for not knowing that

It was also much easier to get into clubs in Houston as well.....as well as throwing LARGE keggers....SA was much harder to get wild in back then for the 16-20 crowd

Oh my heavens. Takes me back! There was a GREAT mix of that back in 88 that used to be played on 93Q when they would broadcast from 6400 in Houston. Miss that!
