Sadly, still unavailable on DVD, but you can maybe find an old VHS tape for rent (I think Hollywood Video in Alamo Heights still has a copy), or buy a bootleg DVD-R (like I did):
I remember Rolling Thunder. As my running coach at the time described it in the 80's was that it was, "one of the last good vengenace films of the '70's".

That and the Jericho mile which I located recently at a local library near Chicago to watch. Wow, I forgot how "MAN" really sounds with that 70's accent.

That scene where they drive a car into the swimming pool: Don Strange's house in Elm Creek. A good friend of mine was there when they were filming. She still tells me stories about that weekend.

All of the shots on 410 were supposed to be Los Angeles.
It would have looked more like Los Angeles if they added 40,000 cars and a few hundred rioters looting and stealing from Wal Mart. J/K

Remember that movie Night Rider 2000? One minute they are traveling down 410 and 2 seconds later they are under the bridge at Corpus!

I wish I could get to the coast that fast.

The club scene in Lost Angels was filmed at "Image" teen night club that was located on SE Military Dr. which use to be, before it closed, across the street from WalMart on Military and Roosevelt.

Thats funny, I own "Lost Angels" on VHS, and never even realized it was partly shot in San Antonio. there's a scene where Adam and that girl are at Crossroads mall, and when Adam is seen driving in that lincoln, and the song "Fasination Street" by The Cure is playing, he's on the corner of Loop 410, and Babcock. right by Alamo Music.

I was working at the Pistol as the DJ and was spinning the vinyl when they filmed the scenes for Rolling Thunder. The producers paid us 10.00 each. Back then that seemed like some serious cash!!!

...that's AWESOME! Are you visible in the scene? This film is SO underrated, a real 70's classic, and I'm really surprised not more well-known, since Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez constantly namedrop the film, as well as being co-written by Paul Shrader, who wrote Taxi Driver (has a very similar vibe in my mind). AMAZING FILM! I saw a copy on eBay recently (a bootleg of course, but, hey, whatta ya gonna do until it gets its legit release - which could be in ten years, ugh).

All that you see is my right arm dropping the tone arm on the turntable. The camera dolly was in the bar back area and traveled to the front where the beer taps were and panned to the doors, then they cut to the close up table scene as best i can remember. This movie was on either SHO or HBO about 4 years ago yes it is a great movie, always will be.
