We were woken up by the storms around 1:30. I couldn't go back to sleep until around 2:30 due to all of the thunder.

The storms this morning out west have faded for now.. the storms last night stabilized the atmosphere over South-Central Texas somewhat. However, with the help of all the sunshine we're getting this afternoon we will probably get enough instability to fire up more storms late this evening and tonight.

so there was some thunder around 10:00 AM? I'm in a building with few windows on Kelly this week and it sounded like either thunder or a lot of big trucks running into things.

Either those same trucks were over here or we had a little bit of thunder this morning too.

Well like any storm night I don't go to bed until very late... and this go around I didn't go to bed until almost 9am. I got up around 12:30 so I can't tell you what happened around then.

Maybe the remnants of those storms made it to the west side before completely dying out after all.

I have a few neighbors that have a storage system involving gutters running off into barrels. It's very cool. I'll see if I can get some pics.

I really need to get a proper rain barrel.....

I'm predicting partly baggy eyes, fuzzy thinking, and a bad case of bedhead. 100% chance.

Talk about getting ripped off. With all these rain storms popping up in the last three days, I got NO rain at my house . I could hear all the activity going on around me but nothing at my place.
