It's coming down really good here in Helotes, and the wind is starting to really kick up. On days like today, I really enjoy having a covered porch and wi fi.

Houston looks like its taking the brunt of Hermine's rain. I'm sure they are going to have some major flooding issues shortly (if not already).

I just went out and ran some errands and we seem to be fairing pretty well on the Northside as far as flooding.

We just had a tree come down, landed on the roof, and came thru the ceiling. Thank God no one was hurt. It is on some power lines...should we call CPS, even though power isn't out?

Yes. It's not safe for anyone other than a power utility worker who is trained in such things to touch any object that is touching power lines. In addition to risking a fatal shock by touching it, moving the tree could CAUSE the power to go out.

We got rain about 45 minutes ago on the Northside. Just looked at the radar and it looks like a decent amount of rain is moving into the area.

There are occasional big gusts of wind out there too. Per KSAT, we're getting feeder band(s) from Karl.
