Raining at my house, too! I can't be late to work tomorrow, so I hope the power doesn't go out like it usually does. I have the alarm clock that resets itself when the power goes out, but if it's off at 5 when I have to get up, I'm SOL. Doesn't seem to be any thunder and lightning over here, though.

It would take a freak accident to knock out the power... most of these showers are powerless. That is unless you are driving out and about, otherwise the roads are very slick!

Anthony how are our rain chances? The radar is going bonkers right now all over the state. They bumped up the chance to 60% and worded heavy rain possible.

looks like everything is coming from the SW and moving to the NE, just SE of SA... figures

my wife called from Houston and said there are heavy thunderstorms there, even though they weren't supposed to get anything until later.. Mother Nature has something against SA

I have a feeling there will be a terrible thunderstorm over Lackland right around 1:30 PM, because that's when I have to go to work. It will also be a day where no parking spots will be available and I'll have to make the long hike in from the bank parking lot..

So a question... I'm buying a house that's unoccupied at the moment and will move in around the end of May / beginning of June. Two or three weeks ago the grass (St Augustine) looked ok but slightly dry. What are the odds of it all still being alive by the time I get there? I keep reading things here that make me a little nervous.

The grass here usually doesn't die in a drought, it goes to sleep. or at least that's what I've read and I do not claim to be an expert.
If it makes you feel any better, I haven't watered my grass at all this year and it's still alive. It's not in top condition for sure, but it's not that bad. Hopefully something will change with the weather and we'll actually get some good rain. It's looking like it's once again going to miss us though. I blame that Maclovio Perez and all his hyping.. as soon as I saw him hyping it today I knew nothing would happen.

We still could get something to pop up later this afternoon/tonight... more disturbances coming from the west heading in our direction.
