It's settling down now after much heavyduty lightning/thunder/rain out this way. If headed your way, this stuff is to be taken seriously. Even now, after it's pretty much quiet, from time to time a lightning strike...heads down and stay under cover.

Sorry about the late reply. I'll try to do a better job on updating here as well.

Right now at 2 AM, I'm tracking a storm complex moving through Brackettville to near Rocksprings pushing eastward at about 40 mph. These storms are producing some heavy rains, brief gusty winds up to 20-40 mph, and maybe a few pockets of embedded small hail from time to time. I think there's a decent bet that these storms will hold together make it into San Antonio by around 4 or 5 AM.

Later on today, there is a chance for isolated storms scattered across the region. The activity will not be as widespread as it was this weekend and earlier this week.

Tomorrow night into early Friday is when we will have our best opportunity for rain as a large upper level low approaches the region. We could see some localized flash flooding problems from this.

Haha! This is how rumors get started I'd certainly love a trip to the Bahamas!

UPDATE: Storm complex is now entering Bexar County. There are some additional cells developing ahead of it.

I hope it's moving southeast. Love the sound of thunder to sleep by! Looks good for the aquifer regardless.

The storm is moving slightly north of east. However there are additional cells trying to fire a bit towards the south. I wouldn't expect much rain for places inside 410 and points south from this round, though.
