The hotel planned for the Rivercenter Mall is planned to be either a Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton.

San Antonio had a four seasons from the early 80's to the late 80's, it was rebranded during the texas economy collapse, as upscale business hotels became unnecessary in San Antonio.

I seriously wouldn't be surprised if the 300 foot Rip Plaza project is a Four Seasons hotel.

This hotel is now the Marriott Plaza San Antonio.

The hotel originally opened in 1979 as the "Plaza Nacional." Shortly after opening it was rebranded as the "Four Seasons Plaza Nacional Hotel." Sometime in the late 80's the property franchise agreement with Four Seasons fell through and the hotel was simply known as "The Plaza San Antonio Hotel." In 1995 the hotel was purchased by Host Marriott, Corp. and joined the Marriott family of hotels. The hotel's name was revised to "The Plaza San Antonio, A Marriott Hotel." After a $6 million renovation the hotel was formally renamed the "Marriott Plaza San Antonio" in 2005.

Unlike the Marriott Riverwalk and Marriott RiverCenter this hotel is not a company owned hotel. The franchise property is currently owned by Highland Hospitality Corporation of McLean, VA.
