Balcones Heights
I got an offer to buy a 4plex in balcones heights near the crossroads mall, can anyone tell me what type of people live in balcones heights? ( blue collar or white collar etc) What about crime in the area?
The deal is excellent, but I believe it may be because it is not a good area like alamo heights.

I will be moving next week on sat...
I will be moving to Balcone Heights untill we build a home, my husband lives there now and he is white collar, I do KNOW that it is more blue collar do to the income, my husband works for a fortune 500 company out there so his income is higher then the average in that area.
He did say it's fine there. IMO that should not factor in to someone's descison on moving or buying, we both are collage grads and I have friends outhere in pa that are not collage grads and I would not judge them based on the level of education.
Then again this state has the most uneducated people ever, and young girls having children at the age of 15.. So there you go....

collEGE grads. I'm interested to know where your facts are coming from as well. The MOST EVER??? Wow! That's a lot. (Hello, Pot? Kettle here. Did you know you're black?)
Balcones Heights is a pretty diverse mix. If the deal is right on a four-plex and the rents make sense, it might not be a bad investment. Multi family units in a good area are hard to come by, as they're snatched up as soon as they hit the market.

Where I get my fact from????
Do you read ANYTHING? I said not to JUDGE who cares if someone is white or blue collar. I did not say that folks from there had to have a collage education.... YOU SAID THAT IN YOUR POST...
Try reading, I also said my husband said it was fine, I was out there and also felt it was fine considering my children of 9 and 6 will be us.

The next Monte Vista is Five Points. Seriously, look into that area, buy homes and fix them up.

That seems pretty "relative" to me. Here in Chicago during my nursing clinicals in O/B we had several 12-14 year old moms. So, what do you mean "there you go?" Is that your choice of moral compass for a town?
Gen
p.s. purely rhetorical questions pa123 as I really have nothing constructive to add except that the age at which some members experience pregnancy is not relative to "what" type of neighborhood it is...one girl in my cohort, who is now in her thirties, is from a very posh neighborhood, she had her first child as a teen too...

If you live with in an area where folks are not talking to there teens about about teen pregnancy, it's happening all the time. I see it here everyday. I don't know about San antonio? I have done travels there many times on business in the pass, but I can tell you in this area of town it's happening all the time. I have also lived in florida never saw anything like this going on, I also have lived in NJ AND NY. In this area not one girl is pregrent and going to live in a posh neighborhood there going to stay on welfare!!!!! because they are lazy and it's easier to live off the system then to get a job or go to college and break the cycle!!! That has much to do in the area you live.
Good for that one girl in your cohort, that's not the average.
I have seen to much in my life to know!!!!! When you get to be my age.
I have also lived in my area's to know these things.
And guess what? the question was how was this place to live? I said my husband had been there now for a while and it is fine!!!!! So do not turn this into something that is very inconsequential, because I will not be entertaining this kind of conversations.

Hi,
Well, since you mention age, you've peaked my curiosity. While you share just to clarify? However it will not discount the validity of your words shared, but, since you bring up age, it is relative.
Thanks,
Gen
