Look no further than your backyard to find some gems that have been hanging around and are in need of a new showplace.
First Plants - A Philodendron or Parlor Ivy tolerates a wide range of conditions and is known for removing indoor air toxins.
Elephant Ears - a beautiful houseplant with beautiful white and green blooms
English Ivy - Also a great plant known to rid air toxins.
Wind chimes - use one of your favorite outdoor wind chimes, dust it off or repair any loose chimes or strings - hang it inside near your green plants for a added calming effect.
Hammocks - a great place for an indoor reading nook.
Water - brings a healing sensation to the mind and body - think about creating an indoor pond with natural pebble or stone accents.
Bamboo - a traditional outdoor product for gardens or fencing - Bamboo makes a beautiful wall or ceiling treatment.
Tree Branches, Fruit, Pine Cones and Seashells - can make a beautiful accent to a centerpiece, bookshelf or entry hall table - not to mention the natural fragrance from outdoors.
Take a stroll outside and see what elements can be recycled to make a nice transition from outdoor to indoor living. Have fun and experiment with color and textures, don't be afraid to try something different; remember it's not permanent.
