Boy, I been reading alllll over the place about these upcoming finals...
and you know what?
They all say basically the same thing.....
I don't really care if Duncan is (considered) boring: his job is NOT to entertain the press; it is not even to entertain the sports fans; his job is to lead his team, advance the ball, and score enough points to win games.
Does he do that? Yes, he does, quite excellently.... (Also, if you listen to his interviews, he is one of the most articulate players in the league.)
I don't really care if SOME accuse my boyfriend Bruce of funny footwork (if it were PROVEN TRUE, he wouldn't be in the finals; he probably wouldn't even be in the NBA anymore). I saw one article this week that referred to his "Eddie Scissorhands moves".... ROFL.... again, though, has the NBA come down on him about it, I don't mean just calling foul on him, I mean disciplinary action... NO!!!!
Parker and Eva? I find that quite boring, could care less (though I admit, I will watch any video clips of the wedding and reception, when released, BUT that is only to get glimpses of my boyfriend Bruce and the best coach in the League, Pop......LOL...
So, the press can spin their wheels and wear themselves out writing about how unglamorous our WINNING SAN ANTONIO TEAM is.... they have to have something to do..... but WE ARE GOING TO BRING HOME THE TROPHY!!! plain and simple....
(BTW, transplanted here October 2006 from the Cleveland area.... ROFL.. LOVE the SPURS...... I admit, though, the LeBron drafting saga was interesting to watch from up-close....)
GO SPURS!!!!

I came across that this morning in the SpursReport. Personally, I never found winning to be boring and neither do the majority of others. Why do you think Seattle just hired Spurs assistant GM Sam Presti as their new GM? Why did Cleveland owner Dan Gilbert hire former Spur executive Danny Ferry to run his organization, who in turn hired former Spur assistant Mike Brown to coach the squad? Why has former Spur and current Dallas head coach Avery Johnson been so successful in the NBA in such a short time? Why did Phoenix hire former Spur and Popovich protege Steve Kerr to run the front office?
The fact of the matter is they're all winners and winning never gets dull. They all follow a certain philosophy and culture that the Spurs organization is notorious and popular for. Winning isn't boring and neither are the Spurs...why do you think others try to emulate them?

When has the National Media ever gave anything about San Antonio any respect? I could care less honestly, because the biggest party on the planet (and the most exclusive since we don't want those pessimistic a-holes from the nat'l media raining on our parade) is tonight! Word is on the radio that Jessica Alba will be down at the AT&T center tonight.
Go Spurs

I read that as well and I had to ask that question as well "When has the National Media ever gave anything about San Antonio any respect?" I think people just be hating on SA in general. Everyone thinks we are Mexico but on this side of the Rio Grande. I dont know what it will take for SA to get respect. Again I dont think it has anything to do with the Spurs, it our city they dont like!

People who don't like this city are FOOLS! I mean it, pure and simple, fools...
In doing my daily job 'search' today, I was forced to come to the realization, as many had tried to point out to me over the last several months.... that I really truly AM going to have to go to Dallas to find work in my field....
I'm tellin' ya, it breaks my HEART, I was literally in tears when I finally had to admit that's where I need to go.....
and then I hear these comments about SA being somehow 'lesser than'....
breaks my heart to leave here..... literally.... I cry every time I think of it or speak of it or write about it.....
and when I live in Dallas I shall root for the SPURS, loud and proud....

I agree-that was my initial thought. But then again I also have the "we're damned if you do, damned if you don't attitude". They call us goody two-shoes and that makes us boring, then when whatever happened between Nash and Bowen went down, they say we're dirty. It seems they will find any reason to dislike the Spurs, but like you said above, it's just as much about SA.
