On KENS 5 they said they received a tip and then they used good old-fashioned detective work to track him down.

MYSA.com is reporting the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force assisted sapd Man arrested in fatal purse-snatching (http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/Man_arrested_in_fatal-purse_snatching.html - broken link) and WOAI is saying U.S. Marshal's did the arrest Suspect accused of deadly purse snatching captured | WOAI.COM: San Antonio News
Doesn't matter who did it, as long as it was done and this POS is off the street. Now to get the proper justice from him, which will never happen since some would consider it cruel and unusual..

BTW, good thing sapd didn't handle it on their own.

Saw video of him on the news this morning...he REPEATEDLY kept saying that he was sorry and would take it back if he could...this was after he apparently was trying to run away from the police trying to catch him. I think instead of being sorry for doing it, he is sorry he got caught. Good work by law enforcement! Now onward with the capital murder trial!

As soon as he lawyers up, this will change. There will be a not guilty plea, and mama will be on the news defending him.

Lorenzo L. Thompson, 21, was arrested on a capital murder charge about 5 p.m. at an East Side gas station. Investigators with the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and San Antonio Police Department arrested Thompson after they found him in an area of town he was known to frequent.

...

Thompson told the local Fox TV affiliate that he was a Christian who strayed away from God and is now being punished. As officers walked him in handcuffs to be transported to the Bexar County Central Magistrate, Thompson added that he didn't mean for Pitts to die and that he was very sorry for the family.

“Please forgive me,” Thompson said. (Full story (http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/Man_arrested_in_fatal-purse_snatching.html - broken link))

Can I sit on that jury....please?!?? This punk is sorry for nothing but getting caught - and deserves nothing but the death penalty. Although I'm sure we'll hear about his underpriveleged/abused/whateverexcusewecanfloat upbringing.... And mama will be declaring what a "kind and loving boy" he was.

This guys family was just on the news saying how he was a good kid that would help anyone in any way he could. Then blamed it all on him not having a steady job. Said she had sympathies for the family but that we should have sympathy for them too. I do not have sympathy for murdering thieves.

If he was sorry he would have turned himself in. He was only sorry he got caught

I want to throw up. God forgive them for justifying any criminal behavior on a "lack of a job"...not to mention MURDER. Sorry ass mentality that excuses most of the criminal behavior in this country. Thank GOD he didn't join the military to serve this country. Now he gets meals, healthcare, lodging and other recreational activities at the expense of the taxpayer as long as the courts allow. What justice for that young woman......

Let these parents tell that to the family of the young soldier that died.
