We are moving to the Stone Oak area in June. My daughter (2nd grade) love Soccer. Does anyone have any Soccer recommendations for lessons?

THanks for any help you can give me!

The YMCA (Mays) has teams at many levels: YMCA of Greater San Antonio & the Hill Country - Mays Family YMCA

I wouldn't recommend the YMCA unless you are the coach. They are very un-organized, when we showed up with my 5 year old for her first practice, we didn't have a coach assigned yet. It was mayhem, there was no order, no guidance, my daughter was totally turned off by the whole experience and now doesn't like soccer. Thanks YMCA!

Yes. Avoid the YMCA. It already causes way too much traffic out here on Saturdays as it is.

This is why I asked...because some Soccer programs are much more organized than others. I appreciate any recommendations you can give me regarding good soccer programs.

I started my daughter with YMCA, then on to here local private school soccer and she is now with a club soccer league (Tigres Storm). After that progression, I would avoid YMCA and local school soccer and go straight to the dedicated soccer clubs. Go to North East Youth Sports Organization, San Antonio Texas or http://www.acyso.org/. It is not that the YMCA or school soccer clubs are bad, it is just that the dedicated soccer organizations "specialize" in soccer. If neither of these clubs meet your needs, go to San Antonio Area Youth Sports Organizations and look at the list. The Club soccer teams would be best.
