What do you think of John Gerard the new guy who debuted today? He's too old for me...gray hair, dull, and boring. I'm tired of those types.

I loved Jennifer. KSAT is now my station of choice (unfortunately).

As long as he doesn't spend half the weather report talking about bats and tomatos, I'm ok with him.

I can't take Steve Browne or really any part of KSAT news. More times than not their graphics dont match the story and Ursula Pari's delivery grates on me when her voice suddenly goes deep at the end of ever sentence.

Funny I prefer WOAI news and I cant stand just about everything NBC does.

I sorta agree. It's strangely interesting how Pari's voice does go so low like that at times! It doesn't annoy me when she does that. It's more intriguing to me.

As far as KSAT's graphics don't get me started! HAHA! Have you seen those spiraly-rounding things that move in a circle and show in the orange background while going to a news break or on city cam or on the dark blue background when showing news information? They also use about 5 different colors from dark blue, spicy-salsa red (yes, that red!), light orange, bright yellow, and spiraly-rounding things all over the place. It's a disaster of graphic (no pun intended) proportions and they make KSAT look cheap!

I LOVE WOAI's smooth and beautiful color tones in their graphics and unevasive news music unlike KSAT's hard-and-pounding news music which is stale, generic and bothersome. But now that Jenn's gone, I have to watch KSAT.

Hmmmm...I wonder if Jenn is looking into working at KSAT or KENS? She should!

Express-News TV critic Jeanne Jakle likes John Gerard.

Jeanne Jakle: Good first impressions do count

John Gerard, 52, may not have the star quality his predecessor had, but he's no slouch in delivering the weather. He's clear and precise and exhibits comfortable chemistry with the anchor team.
