The other thread on here is for private Christian schools which does not interest us.

Looking for best private high schools in San Antonio. I found when looking on Great Schools, the vast majority are Christian based, which has not been the case in the states that we have lived in.

Preferably private International Baccleaurate or private International Schools is what we are looking for grades 9-12.

Keystone School comes to mind. Getting in there is competitive.

Tough, perhaps, but you can't argue with their standing: Keystone AP Program Best in the World (http://www.keystoneschool.org/News/AP_Best.asp - broken link).

For grades 9-12, there are not many non-religious options in SA - most of them only go to 8th grade.

FWIW, Health Careers and International School of the Americas are two public magnet schools which are consistently rated as the best in SA.

Despite the name, St. Mary's Hall is an independent school, not affiliated with a church or faith. Check out the spirituality section of their website for details and history.

According to the IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization) Burbank is the only HS in San Antonio (well, the only one listed, anyway) :Luther Burbank High School

(This doesn't mean that there aren't many fine schools in SA, both public and private, IMHO)

A friend is trying to obtain a job teaching ESL in Europe, and they generally require IB experience...but she has been unable to locate ANY IB schools where she lives!

Keystone is the best and its not close. Tuition is also much more than the Christian schools.

I believe that the magnet school at Lee HS in the NEISD is an IB school too - leastways they offer math and physics IB (or did).

Are or aren't? The OP is looking for one that is not. A post above says SMH is not. Just trying to clarify for the OP's benefit.
