Before they boarded it up my cousin and I went inside it on the day before halloween. I was in middle school at the time and at school they had told us about the onion house(mid 90s). Well I lived across the woods from it so I decided to go take a look. I was really scared to go in, it looks so freaky. There was a small stone building outside that looked like a shed (on the side opposite heubner rd). There was another building next to it that was falling apart. Then farther away behind the inn town suites hotel but buried in the woods was a barn. It was in perfect condition. We opened the door and the dirt floor looked fresh, the wood looked brand new inside. I was told Mr. Onion died in a barn. And its weird that one building is in perfect condition when you can see the condition of the other buildings. Now when we went in the actual house there was grafitti of an eyeball on the backwall before the stairs. The stairs werent very sturdy and at the top of the stair well there was a huge hole in the floor that I had to barely jump over. The bathroom was falling apart. But once in the top rooms it seemed kinda nice. I felt myself walking toward the balcony but then I came to my senses and it looked to dangerous like it would collapse. I didnt see any ghosts the whole time, but it was scary as hell it didnt feel right anywhere near that house.

I am amazed - 24 pages and NO ONE mentioned The University of Incarnate Word? That place is mega haunted.
There is a little boy in the Admin Building who plays with a ball, several nuns in the basement of Clement, a Nun who killed herself because she was pregnant by a priest {who haunts St. Anthony's HS I'm told} in one of the dorm rooms in Colbert, and a TON of bad ass stuff on the back soccer fields. My friends and I used to go ghost hunting all the time and one time we took a camera & recorded of the back soccer fields and there was a bunch of red eyes on the tape that didn't show up in person but it had a really really bad feel to it.
I won't even go out there anymore - gives me nightmares!

As an alumni of UIW...the top floor of the Admin bldg. always gave me the creeps. I always wondered why girls wanted to dorm up there.

Yep - I refused to dorm there myself after the tour. I was the only freshman living in Dubuis Hall my freshman year.
Last I heard they were planning on taking out the dorms up there and making it all offices & classrooms.
