Hey everybody.

Just wondering what 'haunted' places aren't private property. All I know is of the infamous railroad tracks. It was creepy I guess, but not when there were 8 cars waiting in a line to go over the tracks.

Are there any others that are easy to access?

Go back and read through the 30 pages of this thread, there are numerous haunted places mentioned that are legally accessible (such as the Menger Hotel). You'll be able to figure out which ones you can go to, and which ones you need to stay away from!

Default I was there!

I used to hang out & drink at the Flame Room during the early 1970's and saw my share of ghosts on the grounds. I LOVED the Hot Wells Hotel, and once I actually saw a UFO hovering directly above the hotel.

My mom told me that once, she and my dad were coming home from a Christmas party (dad drunk, mom, 8 months preg. with me) and they were around 90 and 410, at around 1am. My dad started freaking out, and shouting "UFOs! Look!" Since there weren't too many people around, my mom sort of pulled over to look. There they were, a disk of lights, hovering silently in the fog. And there was several of them, in a straignt line formation.

Yeah, they were the highway lights. If you drive by there, you'll see what I mean. My mom hasn't let my dad live it down.

You mean in the general vicinity of Kelly Air Force Base? Not necessarily an odd place to see things flying through the sky...

M2: Back in the early 70's there was a scare in SA. I was on top of Inspiration Hills (by myself) I was listening to the radio and there was a report that a UFO was flying over San Antonio. I spotted it quickly on top of the hill and watched as it made these square turns. And there was a blinking light.

People were seeing it all over the city. It turns out the Kelly was testing a strobe light on the bottom of a plane. The picture was in the paper the next morning. Darn! I was hoping it was for real.

It is very possible that that was the UFO they saw and they never read the Air Force response.
