I became quite interested in the Sandra Ilene West story, I was able to get more info about this amazing woman from FerrariChat.com and posted most of the info in this post. We later found her grave and paid our respects.

Cheers! M2

That previous post on Sandra West was great. I just added her name in for completeness.

Actually, it is to the southeast, at Von Ormy and South Evans Roads. I drove out there after work today to see how the place looked, and it looks pretty good!

Would be nice to see it up close, from the pics from maps.live.com it appears to be quite an interesting place!

Cheers! M2

hey all, just joined the forum...and LOVE this thread. i have a question to all the experts here. i used to work in Cibolo and i would cross over the Woman Hollering Creek every day. never really felt or saw anything there...but a little further up 1518 from the highway...there's this house right past the gas station and all those abandoned trailers, its like a peach color or something...what's with that house?? it appears abandoned...but i've seen real estate signs there. it totally makes me think of Hotel California for some reason. i'd like to think i'm a bit not really psychic, but i can sense things sometimes and every single time i passed by there my hair would stand and i felt like i was being watched. can anyone give me more info? and obviously by my name, i'm not from here. but my husband used to take me down by the missions or something close to the railroad tracks...down that road...and there was an old bridge on the road to the left, not really covering anything. he said that bridge was haunted. then to the right of there was more bridges. i felt something on the bridges to the right. it was going down this road i think like a park or something. there was DEFINITELY something there. sorry, i'm rambling. but we lived on the southside for a long time and i love that sort of thing. he was scared of the darn tracks. i mean, come on, i don't think there's anything there. i've lived in several different states in my lifetime and in every one they have the same story about railroad tracks and kids on a bus. different states and far apart from each other!!

The actual train incident occurred in the late 1920's or early 30's and happened around Arizona or Colorado. From this actual incident, urban legend spread over the country. Over the years, people lost track of the actual event and everyone thinks it happened in their backyard.

So the train tracks in San Antonio are urban legend. It works there because of the incline of the tracks and road and if you put your car in neutral it will roll back or forward.

i knew it! yes, i've heard it EVERYWHERE!! and we've done it before and i wasn't scared in the least bit. it did move, but you could tell it had a gravitational pull. and baby powder?! you could be pulling up handprints of your own from weeks ago because of the oils in your hands.

did you know anything about that house?? that's the one that really has me curious.

I looked on Google maps using the street view selection, since I don't go out that direction, and the only pink colored building looks like it's some kind of religious temple. I can't read the sign, it may be in Arabic. Try looking on Google maps and see if that is what you are referring to.

If you like reading about creepy stuff, the library has lots of books on ghosts of Texas and San Antonio. I found one called Weird Texas, that has all sorts of creepy stuff in it!

Is this the house you're talking about? click on the link below even though it may say it's incompatible with your browser.
