I was born and raised in San Antonio and moved away in the early 80's.
The traffic is far worse than the Bay Area. I go back once a year to visit family and some friends. I wish I could say San Antonio had changed for the better. Hopefully some day it will.

Thanks for your wonderful and helpful post!!! You should probably come back in a decade or two and skip the yearly visits. Hopefully traffic will be obsolete by then.

Why don't you have your family and friends come visit you in the glorious Bay Area instead? Then the traffic here would be one car lighter for the rest of us, and you wouldn't have to deal with the nightmare traffic. Win-win.

yeah...a lot of people bike in the bay area. the hills suck, and theres great mass transit.

thats why theres limited traffic there.

try LA, NY chicago, dallas, houston, austin, all these cities have worse traffic than san antonio

go back to the pretentious bay area where you belong.

Add D.C. and Atlanta to that list.

I'm fishing here, this was a dead end thread from the beginning.

It's not clear that there was a discussion topic in the original post. It is clear that the resulting discussion isn't helpful, probably because the topic was too open-ended. There are plenty of threads discussing the specifics of San Antonio traffic in this forum which are helpful. This thread is closed.
