Anyone know which neighborhoods in San Antonio currently have brush/debris pickup? I have a large furniture item I need to dispose of, it's too big to put in a dumpster, and has mold damage so I don't want to sell/give it to anyone. Thanks.

Here's a link to the 3-month collection map. On that page is a link to the collection schedule for the current week.

Call 311 and ask when the pick up is for your area. the other option is to set up an "out of cycle" pick up. Put everything out to the curb, call 311 and they will set up a look see. Once they see what it is, they will tell you how much to take it. When it is paid, the stuff disappears. It's magic.
It might be better than waiting for your pick up.

Bulky pick up and BRUSH pick up are separate - your moldy furniture won't get picked up by the brush guys. You should be looking at the BULKY item pickup. The city collects BRUSH separately from BULK now - I think we get 2 brush pickups and 1 bulky pickup per year now...

Hope this helps clarify!

If you use Solid Waste Management you can go here:

City of San Antonio | Official Web Site - Solid Waste Management Department

Enter your street address and it will give you your regular collection days (of course) but it will also give you your brush/bulky months as well.

When we had bulk pick up there were multiple beat up pick up trucks just picking everything up and tying it down. People will take anything. I don't get it.

Newk -

GOOD POINT! The OP said the item wasn't fit to sell/give away due to mold.

Given this, maybe place a sign on it that says "Danger - Do NOT Re-Use" would be appropriate.
