About ten years ago I saw a TV show on the whole space-alien phenomena. Whitley Strieber was featured and he briefly spoke about his experience. He also had a small unknown black-glass-bead type of object removed from under his skin that was sent to UTSA to get analyzed. After tests were done people were still scratching their heads as to what this weird object was. Supposedly it wasn't made from any kind of known material. Since then I've yet to hear anything about this object that was removed from Strieber.

A friend of mine worked with him several times when Whitley did his spot on the Art Bell Radio show out of S.A. and said he was a real nice guy.

Personally, I'm skeptical about most of the space-ship type of stories, but I do think there's a good chance of something(what ever that "something" is) being there in some of these cases.

I've been to the Bluehole at the headwaters of the San Antonio River. It's a beautiful spot. The time I was there the spring was dry and the buildings and sports area that's now on the westbank of the river was just getting cleared for development. I was tempted to follow the river upstream, but I wasn't too sure about trespassing on private property out in that wooded part.

Next time I'm in S.A. I'm visiting the Bluehole once again. Hopefully there will be some good rain in the hill-country so the spring will be flowing.

Interesting about the glass bead.....and weird!

The water is flowing very strong right now as the aquifer level is back up! Be careful if you wander in the wooded area. I've seen some pretty big bull snakes crossing Devine road in Olmos Park. They are basically harmless but will scare the snot out of you! No telling what other wild life is running around down there. If you walk UP the creek, that's where the Olmos Creek runs into the SA River Springs. Tell us if you find something!

Personally, I think he touched upon a major truth when he said there was an "evil of a demonic" level involved in the phenomenon. It's probably more true than he realizes.
I haven't read the book but I have read several websites that touch on the MK ULTRA, and Monarch Projects and supposedly one of the main people involved in these mind control projects was stationed at Lackland. I read that at this website called something like Dreams end Whitley Strieber and the Paradigm of Doom. Streiber also wrote a book called Billy wherein a child named Billy is horribly abused. This book critic thinks that Billy is just an alter ego for what happened to Strieber. Supposedly some nuns were involved in the "experiments". This guy thinks that Streiber was one of the subjects of these experiments. I started looking into this mind control stuff when I was reading about Charles Manson who somehow had access to drugs that weren't even out on the streets at the time. Strange...huh??? The weird thing about these spaced out hippies was that they were very focused and seemed like pros when it came to slaughtering people. I have always thought that they were pretty astute for being so darned spaced out to have remembered to bring dark colored clothes when they went to slaughter those people. Another thing that I found really weird was that Tex Watson and another guy were really deeply into the church and then something went terribly wrong. I've heard that some of these devil worshippers like to set up "summer camps" under the guise of being Christians. And I've never trusted those darned Masons who ALWAYS seem to be at the Baptist churches that I attend.

Masons are nice people. I'm rather tired of folks poo-pooing on an organization and philosophy they don't understand, which is mostly due to ignorance. If you ever have a chance go by the Scottish Rite Cathedral right across from the Express News in downtown San Antonio. The place is open to the public from morning to the afternoon and they are more than welcome to explain certain things and will even give you a free guided tour of the beautiful building.

On a more real conspiratorial note: The whole MK Ultra thing is one big can of shall we say....snakes. A Pandora's Box for sure. Any time a government, or anyone for that matter, gets involved with trying to control people's minds it is bound to lead to trouble. Big time. Supposedly was done to try and find a kind of truth serum since those were times of the Cold War and the USSR was the enemy. I once worked with a girl who was from the Montauk Long Island area. Somehow we started talking about gov. black-projects and I brought up the Montauk Project. She was very surprised since she'd never heard of anyone outside her hometown mention this before. She told me that as a teenager she and some friends snuck onto the locally well-known abandoned military base and went into some of the decaying buildings. She saw some rooms whose walls were painted in what could be described as psychedelic-patterns an the like. She and the friends were then stopped by the MP as they were walking around outside and were questioned and then escorted off the property with a very stern warning of arrest.

San Antonio being the big military town that it is, I'm sure has had its share of top-secret goings on. Whether if it's nefarious or not is the question. Governments will usually do whatever it takes when it comes to military defense, that is the bottom line. When you fuse big-business with government then things start getting...interesting.

I was reading up on Whitley Streiber this week. From what I read, I don't think the Mason's or the gov have anything to do with anything he was connected with. He grew up Catholic and attended Central Catholic Highschool. He is a student of a Greek-Armenian spiritualist that held the ideaology to not give "answers" to teachings. It's kind of odd, but the idea is to keep open to all kind of possibilities and opportunities. There is a Gurdjieff Foundation that Strieber used to be associated with. Gurdjieff wrote some books with a Satanic theme. You can see below that he must have been a huge influence on Strieber, and it's not quite clear if Strieber accepted Gurdjieff's ideaology, or just studied it for his science fiction books. That's why there are no answers.....Strieber apparently has planned it that way.

This from Wikipedia on this man:
Quote:
Georges Ivanovich Gurdjieff (Георгий Иванович Гюрджиев, Georgiy Ivanovich Gyurdzhiev (or Gurdjiev); (January 13, 1866? – October 29, 1949), was a Greek-Armenian mystic, a teacher of sacred dances, and a spiritual teacher, most notable for introducing the Fourth Way. At different times in his life he formed and liquidated various schools around the world to utilize his teachings. He claimed that the teachings he brought to the West from his own experiences and early travels expressed the truth found in other ancient religions and wisdom teachings relating to self-awareness in one's daily life and humanity's place in the universe. It might be summed up by the title of his third series of writings: Life is Real Only Then, When 'I Am', while his complete series of books is entitled "All and Everything".
Streiber penned a book with a co-auther that was supposedly a "witch", but later he admitted that this person didn't exist and was sort of an "alter ego".
Lots of info to keep one guessing and coming back for more. It's really quite ingenious for selling books! He's definitely an interesting study as a person!

It was taken to the Southwest Reasearch Inst. (Unless he has had more removed). Most of the time all implants removed from aductees are sent to the SRI. There is a doctor (Ill look the name up) who removes all these item, and if you dont have the money he will fly you out and pay for the surgery. I was listening to Coast to Coast Am one night and they had open lines (Fri night) a guy called in from SA, and said he worked at the SRI, and was abducted at work with some co-workers. The first thing that came to mind was " Oh they went to get their implants". The doctor whom was a guest on the Paracast said that most of the objects are a type of metal not found on earth, and incased in a type of cell membrain so that our body does not reject it.

Whit has a Podcast named Dreamland, they was a show on mind control and as Whit and his guess were talking mind control a memory came back from his past. As he recalls it, when he was a small child his mother took him to Ft. Sam Houston here in SA. He remembers being dropped off at a place with other childern and they were put into a small room (a little bigger that one of those old walk in phone booths) pretty much stacked on top of each other. They were then forced to listen to very loud strange sounds, when it was over all of the kids (except Whit) were dazed, out of it, and drulling on themselves. I always thought that was a strange story, mabe there is a connection.

Are you talking about the Southwest Research Foundation of the Tom Slick dynasty? ANOTHER interesting San Antonian.....and good topic for discussion!

Space and Ozzy.....did either of you look into the foundation named after
Georges Ivanovich Gurdjieff ? If you look up their website they have a local chapter if you're interested. It's a bit further off the wall than I want to venture, but I'm dying of curiosity about it. After reading about this and Whitley's association with the foundation and mysticism, it makes sense why there are no conclusive answers to any of this. It also sort of ties all of these phenomenon together as being mysterious and unexplained or "secret".

It says Gurdijieff set up and closed schools all over to spread his ideaology.....which makes sense that the "secret school" may have been in a very discreet place, but abandoned when they felt they had "taught" enough people about this way of thinking.....which is basically mind control. But then that's typical of "secret societies".....manipulating members to not talk by teaching certain intimidation techniques.

Just wondering....I'm not brave enough to search that deep.

I believe all new age religions are demonic in origin. My favorite quote on the subject is this: "New age equals Old Lie."

Oops, didn't mean to step on anyone's toes. I meant the Masons with the big gold rings with the 32 stamped on the side. The ones that roll out thier wads of gansta dough in front of the pastor and the whole congregation to give the pastor his "Christmas bonus"....yes, I saw it with my own eyes. Anyway, this Gurdijieff guy's writing has a decidedly evil tone. You can read snipets on some websites. He's not as scary as Jung but he's got some voo doo that might work on little kids. It's kinda weird how he writes. He seems to be trying to mimic Paul the Apostle's style of writing. His evil writing style is actually kind of poetic like the Bible. He uses parallelism and other lyrical, literary devices like the Bible. He obviously ripped off the "I AM" ideology from the Bible and twisted it. He would like for us to think we are gods and we should follow our own will...not God's -pure blasphemy. I think the Dreams End website said that one of the nuns -the poet- was a follower of Gurdijeff's philosophy.
I tried to send an email to Strieber on one of his follower's websites, but it says that he's not the one that reads the emails. It seems as though some of the banter on the website points to him timetravling?????? I asked if he had had any future visions or if he believed in God etc. I don't think that John the Apostle or any of the prophets actually physically timetraveled, but rather had vivid visions; it seems as though some of these people think that Streiber may have physically time traveled???? One lady told a really weird story about a little boy whom she believes could have possibly been Streiber time travling....who knows????? I know that Einstein did some time travel experiments -with that battleship- that supposedly worked, but were not perfected. Hmmmm....this was done in the 40's or 50's...maybe when Streiber was a kid????? Anything is possible...anything...

You ain't kidding, a REALLY interesting fella - he was a mentor to my Uncle, who consequently became very succesful in the oil biz due primarily to Slick's business savvy - he worshipped the man, anyway, his exploits in cryptozology are fascinating - sad he died so young (the guy did a helluva lot in his 46 years!). BTW, he built a super cool O'Neil Ford pad on Olmos Drive, it's AMAZING (just HAD to throw some random architectural mumbo-jumbo in somewhere )...I know, I know, a real tangent here:
