Default Bookstore in the Alon Towne Center?

I've heard conflicting reports about whether a bookstore is coming to the Alon Towne Center at NW Military and Wurzbach Parkway. What I think I've pieced together from them is that the bookstore was called off for a while and is now back on again. Anyone have the scoop?

I remember reading when the complex was first announced that a Barnes & Noble would be one of the anchor stores. Not sure if the economy has changed that....

Well the center really needs a good anchor type store on that corner to bring customers in. There are several small shops in back there that will probably fail if no one ever pulls in there except for groceries at HEB.

I hear you. I was more surprised to hear that it was back on than I was to hear that it was off. That's why I'm asking, to figure out whether the expectation it will be opened soon is realistic.

Baskin Robbins is opening there, that's all I know about the Alon Center. I'm tired of trying to wait for that bookstore to open, argh.

There was a Baskin Robbins on the other side of NW Military near the gas station in front of the summerfield neighborhood. It looks they have closed down and gone out of business. Maybe their just moving to the Alon Center since it is easier to get into and better for business.
