My dental insurance covers me to use dentists within Lee Dental, Castle, or Monarch. I have Cigna DHMO, and it was the best one my company offered. Currently I'm listed with Lee but can change to Castle or Monarch. How do I find a good dentist? I've tried searching online to no avail. I need major dental work, partly to replace the prior bad work done. The dentist I used to see there isn't there anymore and I didn't like him to begin with. I need my four front teeth crowned. I'm also replacing crowns that had previously falling off(oddly enough I was told they didn't fit) and another that had to be cut off because the teeth underneath decayed. I nervous about doing more work and having the same problems especially since we're talking about my front teeth. Also, would it be better to drop my insurance through work and maybe be insured independently? I can't really wait so I'm thinking, get the work done and if worse comes to worse seek a dentist outside the system later to maintain/correct and just pay out of pocket. Thanks for any help!

Well I will just that there is a reason why these chain offices are some of the only dental offices that accept your DHMO plan. Most dentists do not find it beneficial enough to accept DHMO plans, and still provide quality services. These chain offices send crowns to cheap labs, some even send to labs in china. You don't want to waste your money on bad dental work, and have to re do it again a few years down the road. I think you are better off with a PPO dental plan, or just paying out of pocket. I recommend you see Dr. Mooney, he does great work, and will often work with you. 210 687-1444.
