My boyfriend is going to utsa, but I am at Baylor university--waco. Both of us don't own a car. So I want to know which is the cheapest way for us to meet each other. And how much is it.

Thank you for your help.

I'd try some of the on-campus classified ads, there may be folks at Baylor from SA who regularly roadtrip home.

I doubt there are many students at UTSA from Waco, so it'll probably be easier for your boyfriend to visit you than the other way around. You could also entice his buddies by making friends with some cute girls on campus that you can hook them up with. That way, they'll have a reason to drive his butt to SA to see you.

Other than that, you might try Craigslist; but be careful as anyone can post an ad there and there's been numerous instances of people using it to lure victims...

As for costs, there's an old bumper sticker from the 60s and 70s that comes to mind, the one about no one riding for free; but this is a family forum so I'll just leave it at that!

Or you could just buy a car as TRN suggested!

Cheers! M2

Greyhound is $30 dollars each way. I'd imagine that's the cheapest and safest way to go short of buying your own car.

look on your college board for someone looking to share a ride home to SA or post one yourself. I'd only ride home with women though, just for safety. Offer to pay for gas.

When I was at Baylor there was a board in the Sub that had a rideshare sign up on it. Look for that. The Sub has changed a lot, so who knows if its there. I drive to Waco from San Antonio a lot, there's really no other way. No train to speak of, air travel into Waco is way too expensive. I would just try to find friends at BU from SA and see if you can hitch a ride.

Thank you very much for your reply. Buying a car is ok,but we need a period of time to do that, including learning how to drive a car, insurance, and so on.
