We stopped by Wild Animal Orphanage as it is just down the road. They weren't open but there was an employee there and he said they no longer take feral cats. We asked if he knew anyplace else that might and he had no idea. We will wait and try calling some of those organizations tomorrow, hopefully we'll get it resolved.

I had thought about parking along 1604 with a "Kitten for sale" sign, but only as a joke to myself.

And I am not going to shoot it or do anything else to harm it, I just wish I could find someone or someplace that wanted it...

Actually, she's a dog person like myself; and she's just happy I didn't shoot it!

Wow, with all the cat lovers on here, I am surprised that we've had no takers yet!

Cute kitten. Too bad my wife's allergic (and our dog would nom-nom-nom it). Hope somebody takes it because I've read enough about stray cats eating songbirds. If this one could be trained to take only grackels that would be a whole other thing...

Very cute! It's very young, and therefore probably trainable to be a house cat. I hope that one of the shelters can help you out tomorrow.

I remember having a conversation with an ACS person a few months ago when registering my dog, and he had said that ACS is not bothering with single strays cats anymore. They will go after colonies but a single cat will not be bothered. Also a cat colony is legal if they catch the cats and have them fixed and then let them go again. UTSA has a cat colony (shhh its a bit of a secret as they dont want any more) and as soon as a new one shows up they put out traps and get them fixed.

They also tend to frown on students trying to feed them, but that is why there is a colony to start with.
