My house is always dusty, I can clean and the next day there is a film of dust. Does anyone else have this problem?
I am thinking of getting rid of my curtains but would appreciate anyone elses input and ideas.

Get a cleaning person to dust. Or never touch the dust. If you touch it, you can see it and have to clean. Leave it alone and no one notices until it starts to grow weeds.
Actually, I think it's a fact of life. I don't have curtains and it's still dusty, even with the AC on a 2 high efficiency filters

SA is very dusty. It's also pollen/allergens. Just a fact of life in this part of the country...

You may want to try a different filter in your A/C system. Get one that's "tighter", and the dust should abate...

Go to filters-now.com and get a high MERV rated filter.

You might also want to look into getting your ductwork cleaned - apparently that helps. There are companies that do it (I've not had it done though so I can't recommend anyone specifically).

Also, wall to wall carpeting breeds dust for some reason. We moved from a very, very dusty carpeted apartment to a house with all wood or tile floors and it's much less dusty.
