Rainier
I started there. Since it's owned by a brewery with a big operation in SA I figured maybe it's distributed by them. Also I could swear I saw it at an HEB about 6 months ago... either Blanco / 1604 or DeZavala / I-10. Lots of stuff over here has no distributor in the area, but you still find it somehow.

Vitamin R is still alive and well; it's all over the place and definitely a regional macro brew or larger now. The big "R" at the brewery has been replaced with a "T" for Tully's so they make it somewhere else.

Maybe it'll wind up like Leinie's and Red Hook where it was really uncommon until whoever bought the brand started marketing it all over. Stranger things have happened - I've read about someone showing up at a bar in England where they were promoting Lone Star.

In Seattle I loved the ALASKAN BREWING COMPANY'S "Pale Ale" beer. You can find it in Texas once in a while.

Yuck.

I would try Gabriel's Superstore at Blanco/1604. That's my new go-to place when I have a craving for something rare & specific, or something new (to me).

I would be, considering Texas' oppressive 3-tier system, shocked to find beer or hard liquor on the shelf here without a distributor.
