Tried Grimaldi's at The Quarry. I remembered being fairly satisfied with the one at La Cantera, but this one was just kind of boring. It looked beautiful, but there wasn't much taste. I'll take Sorrento's any day--and the pizza atomica at Il Sogno continues to be a favorite. Now, if only I could get some good Chicago-style here. . . .

Don't waste your time with Florio's. Besides the owner's perpetual chip on their shoulder attitude, the pizza wasn't that great. Cerroni's Purple Garlic is much better. They are located at the intersection of Rittiman and Austin Highway, just north of Terrell Hills.

If you are every out in Comfort, TX they have a pizza place that just recently opened and my husband and I loved it. It is called Comfort Pizza. You can bring your own wine and the corking fee is $10 but if you get wine from three of the local wineries (Bending Branch, Singing Waters or Comfort Cellars) this fee is waived. Sitting is outside. I would call this date night dinner pizza not load the family up to go out to dinner pizza because the cost is about $20 but it was YUMMY!

Little Nick's on Redland/281 is phenominal. On top of the pizza, they've got great pasta and sandwiches. Affordable too. The best part is the staff and the owner. They're amazing and the most outgoing you'll find. It seems like everyone there LOVES what they're doing and it shows.

Definitely. But, one knock against this town is that it's a fast food paradise. I can't stand Pizza Hut, Domino's, etc. This town has it's fair share of good pizza places.

For me personally, it was nice to find a place that reminded me of the local pizzeria where I grew up.

Are you kidding me? I know pizza quite well, having eaten it at hundreds of pizzerias all around the country, and, not being too shabby at making it myself. Now, I've never had Ceroni's, so can't comment on it, but Florio's is outstanding NY style pizza. That you can take to the bank, as they say.

i went to Cerroni's once and was treated like a 2nd class citizen by the owner, as the only non-anglo person there he never once came to ask how our food was. He stopped to talk with everyone but my party, he also gave everyone a slice of pie. Again passed my party up, I called him and told him I did not appriciate his racist attitude towards my party. He was speechless and said I saw you but sorry for skipping your party. So I will never set foot in his place.

Maar's Pizza on Nacogdoches is pretty good. They have a brisket pizza that is really good.
