Yea, I was wondering what the heck w/those pesky flies, they are always in the garage, outside front/back and even at the gym, because they always leave the door open (ventilation I believe), I keep spraying that "Off" spray and have the citronella candles going, but doesn't do squat....So I hope they go away eventually...

I spray & spray & it does no good. I havent seen it this bad in years. At least they arent horse flys. My cats are having a field day chasing the flys that get inside my home.

Not only the flies but the Mosquitos as well. I believe part of the problem are the water hazards on the golf course. If they are not kept very, very well, they could be a breeding ground for pests. Not only that but removing the main source of their food, ie. the chicken farms, won't solve anything by itself.

Default Not only the flies, mosquitos, Has Anyone Dealt w/Mockingbirds chirping all night??

Oh my God, I know they are protected, and God's creatures, and all that, but they are driving me nuts at night, they chirp all night, I have asked around, I guess they leave & fly away eventually(????) in the mean time the nest is here to stay for a while, and I need to get sleep, those darn things are loud and keep me up at night, I know Yucaipa is very beautiful and Quiet, I'm not knocking it, but I can't take the Mockingbirds much longer......any advice?? Their nest I believe is on a Humongous tree in front of my house.....

You should live here.
I can barely hear the mockingbirds over the din of geese, chickens, roosters, ducks and peacocks. Good thing I'm not kept awake by such racket.

Jim Hoover and his chicken ranches are contributing to the fly infestation in Yucaipa,CA. He is in continuous violation of county ordinances and yet just pays the fines and fees and is allowed to keep on infesting the area. His claim is "well I was here first." As if that gives him the right to destroy the environment and create a health hazard for the rest of us.

County Supervisor James Ramos is meeting with Yucaipa residents on Monday April 25, 2016 to address the fly problem caused by the Hoover chicken ranches. Ramos is up for re-election. Let's see if he cares enough to do something about the problem.
