Corona has some really good doctors. The city has a small community hospital which I would not go to. I've tried to use it several times for small emergencies and have found it's faster and better help to drive into Orange County at St. Joseph's Hospital. When trying to schedule a surgery a few yrs. back I asked my doctor's head nurse wish hospital to pick from (he worked out of several) her comment was anywhere outside of Riverside county.

been a dr in the community for a few yrs., now retired. there are some v good drs in corona-riverside, i've used them for myself and my family. and of course there are drs i wouldn't go to, that's the same everywhere. corona lacks a trauma center, and the hospital has had some issues. some choose to go to the OC, others go to riverside (parkview, riverside community). as far as university/research type hospitals go, for those of us who've been on both ends of the stethoscope, if it's a garden variety "horse" type ailment, go to a good community hospital esp if you have drs you're comfortable w. for the "zebra" type ailments, go to a university/research-type hospital, but know that you will be subjected to medical students, interns, residents, a less personal experience, and possibly more tests and examinations.
